Collections Day Camp
June 10 @ 9:00 am - June 12 @ 2:00 pm$90
Does your child have a need to collect all things funky, weird, or unique? Then he or she definitely needs to attend Collections Day Camp! Children will experience three days in the life of a museum curator as they discover what it takes to preserve their own collection. With this special behind the scenes experience, children ages 7-11 will learn how a museum collection begins, how to organize it and preserve by collecting their own specimens throughout the museum grounds, and then how the museums cares for its own world-class collections. The museum will provide supplies, drinks, and snacks. Attendees are required to bring their own sack lunches, sun screen, bug spray, hat, and sunglasses. We recommend children wear cool, comfortable clothing and close-toed shoes. Drop off is 8:30-9:00am and pick-up is 2:00-2:30pm each day. Tickets are $90 per child and AMAG Members receive a $15 discount. Pre-registration is required. Collections Day Camp is limited to 15 children. Register your child by visiting www.ExploreAMAG.org or call 256-237-6766 today. Collections Day Camp tickets are sold for all three days. Individual day tickets are not available.
