Third Thursday in the Gardens: Sun Prints
August 15 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm$5
Have fun in the sun and nature while making organic prints using sun exposure. Using the sun as the main form of exposure, any organic material can be used for cyanotrype printmaking. Various plant material will be arranged on treated paper and exposed to the sun. Depending on the variety and balance of the materials on the paper, the sun will burn white shadows into the print. Sun prints capture delicate aspects of nature’s biological material such as veins, shapes, and transiency. This program is $5 for non-members and free for members. Reservations are required by calling 256-237-6766 or online via www.ExploreAMAG.org.
